Coast Products Folding Knives

Northeast Outdoors Experience Staff

Coast Products are known for their tactical and professional folding knives that are renowned for their quality and reliability within the knife industry. They are manufactured in Portland, Oregon and have been long considered leaders in the manufacture of “working knives”. To own a Coast Product knife is a decision based upon their reputation for practical working knives that are so good they are backed by a full lifetime guarantee to be free from defects of workmanship and materials.

Three of Coast Products models of note are the c05, the c19 and the c22. Each of these knives are excellent examples of quality and dependability in a working or tactical knife. The c19 Tactical knife features a 440C drop point stainless steel hollow ground blade and a skeletonized aluminum handle. This knife is a clean, sleek design that features a clip carrying feature that keeps it handy and safe while clipped to the inside of your pocket. It is slightly over 4” closed and a little over 7” open while weighing less than 3 ounces. It has a suggested price of $16.

The c05 is a slightly smaller steel version of the c19 that is a bit sleeker and more custom looking than its larger cousin. It features a “Button Lock” blade that is made from 440C Titanium steel. The blade is a hollow ground 3” overall with the base 1/2 serrated for sawing capability. It is a clip point knife that measures around 7” open and only weighs 3.7 ounces. It lists for the same $16 as the c19.

The c22 Professional Z-frame is the smallest of the three knives measuring 3.5” closed and like the other 2 knives costs $16. It features a drop point blade of 440C steel and has a spoon shape belt clip attached to its side. For a small knife it is more than adequate for handling game in the field or a variety of other purposes.
